Versace is focusing on its presence in Japan with the opening of a new boutique in Tokyo's Ginza district. Conceived by designer Donatella Versace in collaboration with English architect Jamie Fobert, the store occupies an area of 430 square meters, featuring marble mosaics, floors inspired by Byzantine churches of the Ninth Century and brass and perspex walls and shelving that appear to float in mid-air. “I just adore the design concept of the new Versace Stores, which pays tribute to Italy's cultural heritage,” said Versace.
