There was drama in the air on the final day of New York Fashion Week, with Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein all upping their game for Autumn/Winter 2016. Jacobs' show was the boldest, running with the Goth-inspired look that has cropped up on countless of the city's runways this season and turning it into a visual, operatic feast. Ralph Lauren's collection was also pinned upon a brazen fashion fearlessness. “For my Fall 2016 Women's Collection I was inspired by a woman who dares to be herself,” the designer explained, contextualizing the masculine ensembles focusing on tweed trousers, button-down cardigans, fishermen's sweaters and double-breasted blazers, which then morphed into an homage to the romanticism of rock and roll.
